No. A starting frame is required. Add an ending frame only when you want to guide the destination and the selected model supports two-frame generation.

What makes two frames compatible?

The transition is easier to interpret when the main subject, framing, and scene have a plausible visual relationship. Large changes are possible, but the model may invent details between them.

Will the video preserve every image detail?

No. The images guide a newly generated video. Motion, anatomy, texture, text, and fine identity details can change, so review the finished clip carefully.
